Git automation with GitHub/GCP credentials fails because the token or identity’s assumed scope (OAuth/app token, keyring login, artifact server path, or invoker IAM) doesn’t match what the invoked action actually requires. Symptoms include 401 bad credentials or deploy succeeds while triggers never invoke the function.
