Static assets fail to load because Django’s STATIC_URL/STATIC_ROOT and nginx’s /static location mapping disagree about the filesystem and URL root, so requests hit the wrong mounted directory and return 404s or unexpected files.

Running the Next.js standalone server directly with `node .next/standalone/apps/slack/server.js` returns 404s for static content. The 404s disappear only after running `pnpm start` (i.e., `next start`) at least once.
